University of Lincoln virologist says new covid strain could mean we need to adapt the vaccine.
However there's no evidence the new strain is more harmful.
A Lincoln scientist says that the coronavirus vaccine will eventually have to adapt to a new strain of the disease.
Evidence suggests that the current new variant of coronavirus spreads more quickly but causes no more harm and doesn't affect the vaccine.
But Dr Colin Butter, a virologist from the University of Lincoln, says this may change in the future.
He also expects it to become more widespread in Lincolnshire.
