Ukraine: Display of solidarity and fundraiser planned for Lincoln City match
City is asking fans to show support in whatever way they can
Lincoln City has announced plans to show solidarity with Ukraine, as they travel to Ipswich Town in League One tomorrow night (Tuesday 8th March).
The Imps will wear all-yellow for the match, with the hosts in an all-blue kit, the colours of the Ukrainian flag.
A large flag will also be displayed, with a minute's applause before kick-off, as well as a collection for the British Red Cross.
Imps Chief Executive, Liam Scully said: “Like many people, I have been following the events in Ukraine with sadness and a sense of despair. As a club we have made changes to our social media and also shown a message of solidarity on the advertising boards at LNER Stadium.
“Tuesday’s game against Ipswich Town will see both sides come together to show our support and thoughts for the innocent people of Ukraine. We are calling for peace and our thoughts are with all those who have been impacted.”
City is asking all supporters to show support in whatever way they can.
