Police have launched a murder investigation after 23 year old was stabbed in Lincoln and later died.

Officers were called to Coleridge Gardens at around 10:48pm last night.

They found a man who'd suffered serious injuries, who later passed away.

Two men, aged 23 and 25, are being questioned in connection with the attack.

Officers think there may have been a fight in the Coleridge Gardens and Browning Drive and the park nearby.

Lincolnshire Police is now seeking a black Audi seen driving in the area at the time, and are urging anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.

Senior Investigating Officer DCI Richard Myszczyszyn said: “Our thoughts are with the man and his family and we’re doing what we can to support them at this difficult time.

"I'd like to also reassure the public that this is an isolated incident.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have any information that can assist our officers with our enquiry.

"Any information, no matter how small, can prove useful in our investigation."
