Three flood warnings are still in place in Lincolnshire

An amber weather warning for rain has come in for large parts of England, including Lincolnshire. The Met office says heavy rain is likely to lead to flooding.

In the county there are also flood warnings in place for the River Witham from Washingborough to Boston,

The Environment Agency say these areas are under a flood warning-

River Witham and associated Fens from Washingborough to Metheringham:

"Heavy rain fell over the River Witham catchment last week and further heavy rainfall is forecast for tomorrow, Wednesday 20th January. We still expect properties along the River Witham and associated Fens from Washingborough to Metheringham to continue to be affected. Low lying properties near the river are most at risk. River levels are expected to remain high throughout this week. Stay safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Avoid contact with flood water, riverside paths and river embankments. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, operate our assets and assist the Emergency Services and Council. We are closely monitoring the situation"

"Heavy rain fell over the River Witham catchment last week and further heavy rainfall is forecast for tomorrow, Wednesday 20th January. We still expect properties along the River Witham and associated Fens from Woodhall Spa to Chapel Hill to continue to be affected. Low lying properties near the river are most at risk. River levels are expected to remain high throughout this week. Stay safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Avoid contact with flood water, riverside paths and river embankments. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, operate our assets and assist the Emergency Services and Council. We are closely monitoring the situation."
