There's fears parts of Lincolnshire may flood
it's as Storm Christoph brings heavy rainfall to the area
The Environment Agency says the ground is already incredibly wet, meaning any rain on the land will end up in rivers very quickly , rising their levels.
Ben Thornley from there says:
"We're draining systems as quickly as we can and doing everything we can to reduce the risk of flooding to properties . It's important that people know that if we do issue flood warnings and they are advised to leave their properties or if people do need to leave their properties then the covid restrictions do allow for that"
He continues:
"We're working around the clock we've got our incident rooms open 24/7 . We're working with the emergency services, the drainage board to prepare for the rain that's coming on Wednesday and Thursday"
There are currently flood warnings in the county for the River Witham from Washingborough to Boston. There's also one near Bourne - for the River Glen at Greatford and Kates Bridge.
