The whole of Lincolnshire and Newark has now moved into Tier 3 of Coronavirus restrictions as the second national lockdown comes to an end.

The whole region goes into the highest tier despite criticism by some local MPs.

The measures were last night approved by MPs.

However dozens of Tory MPs voted against the Government including Lincoln's MP Karl McCartney.

Meanwhile Gainsborough MP Sir Edward Leigh has revealed health secretary Matt Hancock has written to him promising to review Lincolnshire's Tier status in 2 weeks saying the region will then be assessed as individual areas not the whole county.

The leader of North East Lincolnshire Council Phillip Jackson has urged everyone to follow the guidance so rates of infection drop and the area goes into a lower tier when the review comes.

Businesses say they're feeling the impact.
