Swearing parrots to be given their own 'adult' section

It's because they won't stop teaching the other birds their foul language

A group of parrots, taken away from display at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park because they wouldn't stop swearing, are now causing even more chaos.

They've now started teaching other birds their foul language.

It means the zoo, near Boston, is having to take measures to seperate the cheeky African Greys from the main colony.

They've now been given their own 'adult' section.

Owner Steve Nichols said: "The initial 5 are still giving the effing and jeffing as we expect, but now we’ve got one or two others that didn’t swear as much just throwing the odd little tangent here and there of the odd blue word as you’re walking past".

"So we're going to make a small adult section for the naughty parrots".

"We’re going to call it the Blue Path".

"There’s going to be a little blue path that gives warning at the end, so mums and dads can say to their kids, “we can’t take you down there because there’s going to be some prime language down there,” or, they can say, “you hear it at home, so you’ll hear it here as well".

But Steve thinks the problem will get worse, before it gets better!

"What’s happening is, people are now delighting when they bring in their parrots to us in telling us that, “oh by the way, my parrot swears as well,” and then they go through the full repertoire of what they say and you think, “oh right”.

"So it seems as though most people who own African Greys do actually teach them to swear".
