There's evidence the cost of living crisis is leading to some University students in Lincolnshire turning to food banks.

It follows increased energy bills and other costs rising almong with inflation going up.

It means student loans are being stretched.

Some are working longer hours at part time jobs.

We spoke to Kat Watson a Student Leader at University of Lincoln Students’ Union.

She told us "Obviously the increased in cost of living and bills means students are paying more but aren't getting more loans."

"They've got less disposal income, stuff they can use for the student experience - more's going on rent, utilities, all of that."

"I think a lot of students have gone to part time jobs".

"They're working alongside their degree which is impacting their mental health".

"If they're tired and worried all the time that will have an impact."

"A lot of the time students feel like they're pushed aside and they're not listened to".

"If the Government can do anything it's just to provide that kind of advice to students as to how they can access extra funding opportunities, all that kind of stuff".
