We've spoken to Boston and Skegness MP Matt Warman about the deaths a man and his two year old son.

Last Tuesday both were found at their home in Skegness.

Mr Warman told us:" The investigation that the social services themselves started and the police where they have referred themselves to the independent office of police conduct - it's really important those investigation get to the bottom of whether - even in those tragic circumstances that took place - regardless of their contact into whether something more could have been done and this been avoided."

"What the county council has called a rapid review needs to genuinely be rapid and the police needs to get to the bottom of this quickly."

I know how saddened people will be

"It does seem as though both police and social services were already involved."

"For that to have not successfully secured his safety is clearly a failure on several levels."

"This tragedy also underlines the importance of neighbourhoods – Skegness is a place of immense community spirit, and I know how saddened many local people will be."

"I share that sadness, and have urged all those involved to make sure their investigations are concluded as rapidly as possible. If any constituent would like to get in touch, please do email me at matt.warman.mp@parliament.uk"
