A man's been found with stab wounds
A man's suffered what are believed to have been stab wounds following a serious assault in Grimsby.
Police were called to the Stanley Street area around half past 11 on Sunday evening to reports of an altercation.
A 25 year old was taken to hospital with serious injuries, although they aren't thought to be life threatening.
Officers say they think it's an isolated incident.
They'll be more officers in the area as investigations continue
Detective Sergeant, Phil Jacobs said; “We are appealing for witnesses after a 25-year-old man sustained serious injuries in an altercation late on Sunday evening.
“The incident occurred in the Stanley Street area of Grimsby and resulted in one man sustaining injuries.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is urged to get in touch as a priority.”
He added; “While we believe to be an isolated incident, it will naturally cause concern to residents.
Over the coming days you’ll see more officers in the area as we make enquiries to ascertain the facts of the incident.
