Scunthorpe United's chairman Peter Swann is to step down from the role with immediate effect.

The club says they'll reveal more details over the weekend.

Swann's been in the hotseat since 2013 but has seen the club struggle over the last 2 seasons and they remain bottom of League 2.

Lee Turnbull will be joining the Iron as chief operating officer and will take on the Chairman's roles.

He played for Scunthorpe for a period in the 90's and has been head of recruitment and chief scout at the club.
