A project that see's handbags filled with essentials given out to victims of domestic abuse, in memory of a murdered University of Lincoln graduate, is planning to become an official charity.

Grace Millane was killed in New Zealand while backpacking 3 years ago.

Her family launched Love Grace in tribute to help others.

Hannah O'Callaghan is Graces cousin, she said they've got big plans for 2022.

"We'd love to be able to grow this and get some drop-of points in areas that we don't currently have drop-of points so we can get bags to more of these ladies.

"We've got another appeal taking place in New Zealand, which is all 153 branches of their national bank will be drop-off points. So we're working closely with them to set it up."

She told us the work they do helps the her come to terms with what happened.

"It is family and friends that run this, so we do get together and we go and we pack and we sort handbags and we talk.

"It's good for us to be doing something practical with our grief that ultimately can help others.

"For us, it's a cathartic process."
