A Brigg woman who started competitive power lifting aged 49, is urging other people to keep active through lockdown

You're never to old to take up a sport. That's according to a Brigg woman who says exercise can help your mental health during lockdown.

Joy Mineo took up competitive power lifting when she was 49 years old.

She's now a gold medalist.

She says "just have a go! don't even think how old you are. I know people older than me that have started doing it. People do put too many mental barriers in the way. You're never too old to start doing anything"

She says its not just for your physical health - its also improves your mental health
