Just in time for Remembrance Day 2024, poppy artwork has been painted on roundabouts across Lincolnshire to honour servicemen and women past and present.

All materials and labour have been provided by volunteers, who gave their time and resources to complete the installations across eight key locations ahead of this Sunday’s commemorative events.

The roundabouts featuring poppy designs are located at:

Gunby Roundabout

A16/A157 Roundabout

Riseholme Roundabout

A15 Sleaford Road (part of Lincoln Eastern Bypass)

B1174 Tollemache Road (part of Grantham Southern Relief Road)

A52/B1176 Roundabout

Bourne Road / Raymond Mays Way

A17/A16 Roundabout

Councillor Richard Davies, executive member for highways at LCC, said: “Our roundabout poppies receive incredibly positive feedback from locals and visitors and are a suitably public way for us to show our support for servicemen and women past and present.

"We support acts of Remembrance across the county every year and will continue to wherever possible to show our appreciation for those who serve their country."
