Police reassure Sleaford community after deaths of a man and a woman
Detectives are not currently looking for anybody else in connection with the incident
Police say they won't be in a position to assess the exact circumstances that led to the deaths of a man and woman in Sleaford until the results of a post mortem tomorrow.
The bodies of a woman in her 30's and a man in his 40's were discovered at a house on George Street last Sunday afternoon.
Officers are treating their deaths as unexplained but aren't looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
Chief Inspector Phil Vickers say they've increased their presence in the area to provide reassurance:
"As part of the investigation officers have been speaking to neighbours, local businesses and schools. The couple were both well known. The feeling has been one of shock and great surprise. Sleaford's a very safe place to live and this is not the sort of thing that local residents would expect.
"We found 2 adults deceased in the property. The investigation is still ongoing and we've been speaking to the local community.
"At this time the Detectives investigating the incident are not looking for anybody else. However the post mortem will take place on Thursday afternoon. And we'll be in a better position to understand what happened after that."
