Police have confirmed the person who died in Messingham was a man in his 80's

Officers are continuing their investigations into the death of a man in Messingham.

They were called out yesterday morning at 5.30am following concerns for the safety of the occupant at a property on Brigg road.

An 83 year old man was found dead - his death is currently being treated as unexplained.

No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Humberside Police said:

"Officers are now appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity with CCTV or dash cam footage, or anybody who was travelling along Brigg Road at the time, or moments prior, and saw the man, or anything suspicious that could assist us with our lines of enquiry to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 48 of 18 November"
