Police arrest four men following Cleethorpes stabbing
It's reported that a group of men were fighting outside of the Swashbuckle Tavern on Grant Street
Four men have been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Cleethorpes.
It is reported that a group of men were fighting outside of the Swashbuckle Tavern on Grant Street in Cleethorpes.
When officers arrived, they discovered that one man had sustained stab wounds.
The man was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for life threatening injuries.
Four men were arrested at the scene by officers in connection with the reported stabbing:
- A man, aged 18, was arrested on suspicion of attempt murder, possession of a bladed article and using threatening behaviour
- A man, aged 21, was arrested on suspicion of attempt murder, affray and assaulting an emergency worker
- A man, aged 28, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent
- A man, aged 34, was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of class A drugs
A scene guard currently remains in place to allow detectives to conduct lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Detective Inspector Simon Archer leading the investigation said: “I understand the events of yesterday evening are understandably going to cause concern amongst local residents.
“There will continue to be a high policing presence in the area over the coming days as we work to understand what has happened.
“I would encourage anyone with information, or anyone with concerns, to please come and speak to us.
“I’d like to thank members of the public who have so far assisted us with lines of enquiry.
