Police are appealing for information after an attempted sexual assault in Boston

Police are investigating an attempted sexual assault after a woman was found in a distressed state in the early hours of Sunday morning in Boston.

Officers are looking for a male suspect after the incident between 4:30am and 5:20am in the Mitre Lane area.

He's described as white, of slim build, with cropped brown hair - he was wearing a hooded blue body warmer. Officers believe the suspect headed towards John Adam’s Way via Pump Square following the incident.

They're urging anyone with any information to contact them. We are specifically asking for any drivers with dash cam, who were in the areas mentioned (Mitre Lane / Silver Street / Pump Square and John Adam’s Way) between 4.30 and 5.20 am, to review their footage to see if they may have captured the incident or the suspect.
