Police renew appeal for information after pensioner assaulted in his North East Lincolnshire home
The man in his 80s was kicked to the ground
Police in North East Lincolnshire are renewing their appeal for information after a man in his eighties was seriously assaulted.
It happened back in the early hours of the 20th December on Healing Road Stallingborough when intruders reportedly broke into the man's home before demanding money from him and threatening him with a claw hammer
The man was kicked to the ground and after ransacking the house, his bank cards were taken.
The bankcards were then used 1:50am at an ATM in Ulceby and at 2:05am at Spar in Barton.
This has been very distressing for the man concerned
Humberside police have released a statement:
All three suspects were described by the victim as being white and around 5ft 10” to 6ft tall and all were wearing balaclavas.
Inspector Tom Stevens, Neighbourhood Policing commander for the local area, said: “This was a particularly nasty incident and was extremely distressing for this elderly man.
“Whilst these kind of incidents are rare in the area, we absolutely recognise the impact they can have on a victim and the wider community and are determined to do all we can to identify those responsible.”
