Police are appealing for information after a failed ramraid at a Co-op store in Gosberton.

Officers were called to the store on High Street at around 4am after reports a blue Ford van and a white Nissan Nivara were being used to attack the front of the shop.

They arrived to find the van left running at the scene and straps left attached to a cash machine those responsible had failed to take.

The Nissan Nivara was later discovered abandoned a distance away from the crime scene.

In a statement, Lincolnshire Police said: "We are currently at the shop, which has been cordoned off and are forensically examining the vehicles.

"Investigators are now asking the public for information, urging anyone who saw the vehicles before, after or during the incident to get in touch.

"Any CCTV or dashcam footage could prove extremely useful."
