Plans to restore lost fenland near Bourne will see a 30% increase in the number of fenland habitats in Lincolnshire.

The project aims to restore 50 hectares of farmland with hopes it'll become a home for a wide variety of wildlife.

It will also link up nature reserves, and create a multi-purpose wetland which will store water for agriculture and improve water quality.

It's hoped it'll help see the return of iconic species such as bitterns, cranes and swallowtail butterflies.
