Over a thousand people have signed a petition, calling for new safety measures on a road near Lincoln, after a 12-year-old boy died.

Ted Vines, from Alford, was involved in a crash on the B1190, near Bardney earlier this month.

His family say he was loved by everyone, happy, fun and brilliant.

Now campaigners want to introduce a 40mph speed limit, and speed cameras.

Rachel Hippie started the petition:

She says "it just kept playing on my mind because I thought that road is so dangerous".

"We all know it's dangerous, there's been countless reports, complaints and it just like it's been ignored".

"It's just upset and angered everyone".

"When I first heard about the collision I wasn't surprised although I was shocked and saddened."

"Living in Bardney 35 years I know full well how poorly maintained the Bardney causeway has been over the years".
