Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in North Lincolnshire collision

Police are investigating after a car collided with two pedestrians in Owston Ferry.

It is reported that a Blue Mini Cooper was travelling along East Lound Road before colliding with two women who were walking on the path towards Owston Ferry, at around 10am yesterday.

A 73-year-old woman was taken to hospital to receive treatment for life threatening injuries and another woman, aged 77, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital to recieve treatment.

A 76-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit thorugh drink or drugs and careless driving causing serious injury. He has since been released under investigation whilst officers continue lines of enquiries.

Humberside Police are urging anyone with any information to contact them.
