A pedestrian's died after he was involved in a collision near Barton-upon-Humber.

It happened around 10.50pm last night (Monday 6 May).

Police say two vehicles were travelling along the A15 southbound when they hit a man near to the junction with Bonby Lodge.

The 40-year-old sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

His family have been informed and are being support by specially trained officers.

Police have launched an investigation into the exact circumstances and are hoping someone may have dashcam footage which may help with their enquiries.

Humberside Police have said:

"The pedestrian, a man aged 40, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene of the collision.

"His family have been informed and are being support by specially trained officers at this difficult time.

"We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or has CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist with our enquiries to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 638 of 6 May.

"Alternatively you can report information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111".
