Dozens of staff at the British Steel site in Scunthorpe have walked out in a dispute over pay

50 scaffolders will be on strike every Monday to Wednesday for three weeks. The union Unite say they're paid £2 an hour less than the national recommended rate for the industry.

Dozens of staff at British Steel site in Scunthorpe have walked out in a dispute over pay.

The workers maintain over 500 structures on site.

British Steel say contingencies are in place and it won’t impact on production.

Unite says the planned strikes will be held on these days:

05:30 Monday 25 January until 05:29 Wednesday 27 January

05:30 Monday 1 February until 05:29 Wednesday 3 February

05:30 Monday 8 February until 05:29 Wednesday 10 February
