Olympic gold champion Rebecca Adlington has been opening up about her struggles with anxiety.

Rebecca has partnered up with North East Lincolnshire’s mental health service NAVIGO to speak with people in Grimsby about her experience after retiring in 2013

She spoke in front of a crowd at Grimsy Auditorium on Monday 27th September as part of NAVIGO's 10th anniversary.

Rebecca said:

"“Im very much in a place now where I can say I don't suffer from panic attacks and I feel comfortable talking about it and the reason why I want to talk about it is because I want people to know they aren't alone.

"It affects every single person about what your background no matter your age no matter anything of the industry that you work in, to come and have a tour of mental facilities which I've never had before is kind of been eye opening myself as well and I just think it hear in Grimsby just what facilities that you have an and I think probably people of Grimsby probably take for granted what amazing facilities you have on your doorstep

"If people are in that state because of the past 18 months so the fact that that support is there and also that people know where to go I think that is the thing that when you're in that crisis mode OK you know that something is there that you don't feel like you are going to be on your own and you can have the help and the things that you need"
