We spoke to Beckie Adams from New Holland North Lincolnshire about her experiences and how long it took to a get a diagnosis.
She said "I felt that maybe I was making it all up and it was in my head, I was just getting fobbed off with different medications".
"I just felt like a bit of a guinea pig, try this, try that and see what happens".
She was initially told it was period pains but says it was very difficult to deal with.
"It was a struggle to even manage daily life to be honest".
"The pain was that bad I was having weeks off work at a time".
"I was taking my pain killers prescribed by the doctor and just in bed asleep trying to get through it".
"I think it's hard to understand the amount it affects you day to day without actually going through it yourself, you can't describe to people the amount of pain you are actually in."
"They're just like general period pains but a thousand times worse".
