Four men from North East Lincolnshire appear in court charged over death allegedly caused by road race
Denii Reynolds died in a collision on the A16 at Utterby near Louth
Four men accused of causing the death of a 20-year-old woman while allegedly racing on a Lincolnshire A-road have appeared before a Crown Court judge.
Keelan Tuke, Riley Duncombe, Keigan Launder and Josh Dobb, who are all charged in connection with the death of Denii Reynolds on the A16 at Utterby, near Louth, in October 2021, were granted unconditional bail after a hearing on Wednesday.
Lincoln Crown Court was told the defendants were alleged to have been racing each other at the time of a collision, which also left a woman in her 70s with serious injuries.
Tuke, of Grafton Street, Grimsby, is alleged to have caused death and serious injury by dangerous driving while driving a Citroen C1.
The 21-year-old pleaded not guilty to the two separate charges and was told his trial will take place in September at the same court.
Duncombe, 18, of Thesiger Walk, Grimsby; Dobb, 21, of Hadleigh Road, Immingham, and Launder, 22, of Louth Road, Grimsby, were not required to enter pleas and will re-appear in court on May 12.
Dobb, Duncombe, and Launder also face separate charges of causing death and causing serious injury by dangerous driving, with their charges relating to the respective driving of a Ford Fiesta, a Ford Fiesta van and a Mercedes A180.
Recorder James House KC told all four men: "I am adjourning this case for trial. It is fixed for September 18, given a time estimate of two weeks.
"The case will come back before the court on May 12. You will continue on bail as before."
