Multi billion pound plans for the cables have been revealed

New multi billion pound plans have been unveiled for under sea electricity cables running from Scotland to the Lincolnshire coast.
They're designed to come ashore and then by carried across the county connecting offshore wind farms to convertor stations in Norfolk.
They'll be known as Eastern green links 3 and 4
It's separate to proposals for pylons to carry power cables which have been revealed previously and would go from Grimsby also to Norfolk.
That's led to opposition with some campaigners claiming it would spoil the Wolds.
On the undersea plans it's thought the 2 cables could come ashore either at Theddlethorpe or Anderby Creek.
The national grid argues that the 2 projects together are necessary as the current system is outdated.
To coincide with the announcement of Eastern Green Links 3 and 4, National Grid will be holding a series of consultation events to give the public the chance to either learn more about the development plans, or have their say.
Consultations will be taking place
The initial consultation round will begin on Tuesday, April 23 and run for eight weeks until the middle of June.
A series of in-person events will be held.
These are the ones in Lincolnshire.

Wednesday, May 1: Anderby Village Hall, Anderby, 2pm-7pm
