A new service is starting up in Northern Lincolnshire aiming to help new mums who may be struggling with mental health issues.

The pilot scheme's being trialled this spring across the Humber region taking in places like Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Immingham, Scunthorpe, Brigg and Barton On Humber.

It's designed to help women who're experiencing the likes of anxiety in relation to childbirth.

Post natal depression also affect significant numbers of women.

For some new mums there may be added pressures like difficult births.

Sadly a small few will lose their baby and this service will provide support to them too.

If it's successful the scheme may be "rolled out" to other regions.

Fiona O'Connell's been working on the project and says it's a really important that they provide this kind of specific help.

She feels there's a real need for it.
