A man who severed his spinal cord after falling of a 100ft balcony is riding a mobility scooter all the way from Liverpool to Skegness.
He's due to arrive soon, after travelling over 100 miles in nine days
Simon Gamewell has been dropping off at hospitals along the way.
"I work with an organisation called TAP and we're a social thanking platform.
"I'm trying to spread positivity across the nation through the power of gratitude.
"We collect messages of thanks for key workers, NHS workers, social care workers and education workers and then we deliver those messages."
He's been inspired by the care he received five years ago.
"I had an epileptic seizure and I fell from a six storey balcony onto a concrete floor.
"Luckily I hit a tree on the way down and it must have broken my fall, because I don't think I'd be alive today if that hadn't been the case.
"I'm very grateful to all the care that I received from NHS and private doctors and nurses, so I want to say 'thank you' for myself, but also pass on some of the messages of thanks that I've collected."
