Man trying to flee Afghanistan to be reunited with family in Lincoln
He says he needs to leave the country to save his life, his children and his family
A man who fears for his life in Afghanistan says he's urgently trying to flee the country to be reunited with his family in Lincoln.
As the evacuation operation continues to get people out before the deadline of the 31st of August, we’ve been put in touch with Mohammed.
"We need to leave this country to save my life, to save my children, to save our family"
He says he's so scared of the Taliban he's contently on the move in order to survive.
"In 10 days, maybe 4, 5 places I’m living because I am afraid that they will come here, and they will come to my house and arrest us.
"We’re really afraid, I’m really afraid.
Whenever he leaves the house he has to wear a disguise.
"I disclose my face and wear sunglasses because we are really trying to change our clothes so that no one can recognise or report us
"We are, right now, hiding away."
