A man's been charged with murder following a death in Lincoln.
The body of 69 year old John Connelly was found on Portland Street just over a week ago.
Now 26 year old Owen Blades of Tennyson Street Gainsborough has been charged with murder..
He has also been charged with shop theft after Tesco in Lincoln High Street reported an incident and burglary at a separate address in the area.
He'll appear at Lincoln Magistrates court later today.
A police statement says:
Our investigation into John’s death is continuing, and we would ask anyone who has not yet come forward with information that may assist with our investigation to get in touch by calling 101 or reporting it through the Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) under Operation Linen.
