Man charged with attempted murder of police officer in Scunthorpe

Its after an incident on Glebe Road on Monday

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a gun was fired at a plain clothed police officer in Scunthorpe on Monday.

It happened on Glebe Road at around 1:15pm during a police pursuit. The police officer wasn't hurt.

A 29-year-old man, Jamie Burke, of no fixed abode, has been charged with attempted murder,.

He's also been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life and possession of a firearm when prohibited for life.

He's due to appear in Grimsby Magistrates Court later today (July 28)
