Man charged with attempted murder in Skegness
It's following an incident there on Thursday evening
A 42-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Skegness.
Emergency services were called to Firbeck Avenue on Thursday evening just before 10:30pm, to a report that a property on fire.
A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital with severe burns and remains there in a critical condition.
Leigh Pateman, of Firbeck Avenue, has been charged and remanded into custody and is due to appear at a Lincoln Magistrates’ Court hearing, on Monday.
Detective Inspector Tim Wilkinson, of Skegness CID, said:
“Our thoughts are with the woman and her family at this time, and we understand that this may come as a shock to people in the town.
“Our officers moved quickly to arrest the suspect and the team have worked diligently to progress the investigation."
