Man charged with murder after death in Broadholme
Police say he's due to appear in court today
Police say a man's been charged with murder following the death of another man in Broadholme earlier this week.
Rolandas Karbauskas, who's 48 and from School Lane is due to appear before Lincoln District Magistrates Court today.
He was arrested at the scene on Monday 14th March and has been in custody ever since.
Officers were called to a property on School Lane on Monday but despite the best efforts of emergency services Saulius Badgzinus was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 58 year-old's family have asked for privacy while they deal with their loss.
Police say their enquiries are ongoing, and have appealed for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage from the School Lane area between 8am and 2pm on Monday to come forward.
Detective Inspector Adrian Czajkowski from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, is leading the investigation. He said: “This is a tragic incident, and our primary goal is to bring justice to the family.
“We would like to reassure people that we believe this incident involved people who were known to each other. As always we are keeping an open mind on the circumstances which lead to his death.
“We are exploring a number of lines of enquiry, and we would now like to hear from anyone who might be able to help with our enquiries. Even if you think the information you have might be of little significance, please get in touch and let us decide how it might fit into the investigation.”
