A man's been charged after an armed robbery at a convenience store in Scunthorpe where a shop assistant was reportedly threatened with a knife.

A man demanded money from the till at the premises on Scotter Road last Sunday (4th September) before a large amount of tobacco was taken.

The shop assistant wasn't hurt but was left very shaken.

26 year old David Kenyon of no fixed address has been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
