Man charged after another man suffers a stab wound in Boston

He faces charges including GBH and threatening a person with an offensive weapon

Police have charged a man after another man was taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound.

As we reported yesterday officers were called to West Street just before midnight on Sunday evening.

There they found the injured man.

Shortly afterwards two men were arrested.

Now 40-year-old Adrian-Viorel Barbu, of Frampton Place Boston has been charged with GBH, attempted GBH and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

He's been remanded in custody pending further inquiries.

The other man who was arrested has been released without charge.

Detective Inspector Mel Rooke, who is leading the investigation, said:

"We believe this to be an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."

"We are committed to tackling knife crime to keep our communities in Lincolnshire safe."
