Man arrested on suspicion of murder in Grantham

Police are expected to continue questioning a 37 year old on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Grantham.

He was found with what are believed to be knife wounds at a house on Eton Street in the early hours of Saturday morning and died at the scene.

A 37 year man has been arrested.

Police say at this stage they're not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.

"We are in the early stages of our investigation"

Detective Inspector Melanie Crutchley, Senior Investigating Officer, East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said: “We are at the very early stages in our investigation.

I appreciate the local community will be concerned by this sad news this morning.

I can say we have arrested a man in his 30s and are not looking for anyone else at this stage.

He remains in custody and we will update as the enquiry progresses.

"I would appeal for anyone who believes they can help with information to get in touch.”
