Four people arrested over incident on Monday

Four people have been arrested after a gun is believed to have been fired in Grimsby.

Armed response and uniformed police officers were deployed to the scene on Cooper Road at around 10.45pm on Monday.

Chief Inspector Jayne Goodens leading the investigation said: “I can confirm over the course of the last three days we have been conducting extensive lines of enquiry to understand the circumstances surrounding the report.

“On Tuesday 14 August we arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder, three other people were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Three have since been released on conditional bail and one released under investigation.

“Locals to the area can expect to see an increased police presence whilst we continue our enquiries. Please do speak to our team if you have any concerns.
