Man arrested after two 19 year old's injured in motorcycle crash in Brigg

Police say one man suffered 'life-threatening' injuries

Two 19 year old men have been seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Brigg.

One suffered life-threatening injuries following the single-vehicle collision on Grammar School Road at around 3.15am this morning.

Police have arrested a 19 year old man.

Humberside Police have issued the following statement:

"It is reported that a black Aprilia 850 NA Mana motorbike was travelling along Grammar School Road at approximately 3.15am when the rider is believed to have lost control and the bike came to a stop in the road.

"The rider and pillion passenger were dismounted from the bike and two men, aged 19, were taken to hospital to receive treatment to serious injuries, with one man sustaining life threatening injuries.

"Following enquiries carried out so far, it is believed that the motorbike was stolen prior to the collision earlier that morning, and a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving, burglary and theft of a motor vehicle. He remains in our custody whilst our enquiries continue. "
