A new community art project has begun it's tour of Lincolnshire aiming to inspire people to access and engage with the Wolds.

Shelf Life by INSTAR features pictures of large billboards which were placed in the Lincolnshire Wolds this Spring with slogans such as 'Limited Availability' and 'Clearance'.

There's also three smaller in-person billboards created in collaboration with local school children who focused on printworks of nature.

Printworks created at Louth Academy.

Trish Evans and Nick Humphreys make up art duo INSTAR and we've been speaking to them about the project.

"Hopefully it's an opening of a conversation about what needs to happen in the Wolds," said Nick, "where is the biodiversity?"

"Changes are hopefully going to be happening in the future, but the Shelf Life idea is to say - 'how long is nature about for?'"

"We want to celebrate local nature and ensure that it doesn't have an end date," Trish explained.

"So we're being quite playful, really, around the idea of an advertising space, a billboard looking at sales and product.

"Not to see nature as a product, but to see it as something that lives alongside us, has a right to thrive.

"And that of course, the Lincolnshire landscape is very much at the heart of a lot of our local growing."
