Lincolnshire small businesses featuring impact of increase in National Insurance
Many firms are still finding it difficult despite being out of lockdown
Small business owners in Lincolnshire say they're under huge pressure as they prepare for the National insurance increase coming into force next year.
The Federation of Small Businesses is calling for more support in the sector.
Katrina Pierce from the Lincolnshire branch says this increase will be difficult for firms.
She told us "it's a levy that will hit employers, sole traders and employees directly in the pocket without meaningful regard for how their businesses are performing at this time ".
"Quite frankly it's anti jobs, anti small business and anti start up".
"They're worried this is going to stifle their growth."
"That realistically means they're going to hold off employing more people because of these extra costs."
"I've hear significant worries from several members across Lincolnshire and I imagine there'll be several more that will be quietly worrying in the background".
