This years Lincolnshire show has closed the gates for another year after a busy two days where thousands of people have attended.

There's been livestock on show, motocross displays, falconry, stalls and activities for children among many other events.

One of the events at the show was the Shetland Pony Grand National.

It's an event where children compete on Shetland ponies.

Former jockey Bob Champion who won the regular Grand National is involved and the event raises money for his cancer trust. He said:

"They've been very very good to the Trust over the last six or seven years - they've raised over £190,000 through the years and I enjoy being involved with them.

"There are so many youngsters coming on that's looks like they'd make jockeys - it's a great grounding and we got some good kids coming along.

"The children are the best of friends before a race, they get down to the start - they are professional they want to win.

"After they pull up they are the best of friends again, it's just like we were when we were jockeys."

William was one of the riders of the ponies - he told us what it's like:

"It's really fun - you go round and are trying to get in the top four to get in the final or you are just trying to win your heats so it's really fun".

There's also been discussion at the show by Farmers who have been discussing the major issues they're facing.

Rising costs have impacted many in the agricultural sector.

Many have told us they're concerned about the future.

Tom Bradshaw is vice president of the National Farmers Union he says:

"I think the volatility we are seeing globally whether that be the weather or geopolitics and the tragic war in Ukraine we cannot take food supply for granted.

"Countries will always feed themselves before they export it to the Uk

"So we have to make a plan of how we are going feed 70 million people living on an Island".
