It's the day organisers of the Lincolnshire show have been waiting for three years the event is finally back

Around 60 thousand people will visit over the next two days and will be a major boost for the county's economy.

It's taking place at the Lincolnshire showground today.

The event is vital for the agricultural sector after a very tough few months.

It's also expected to provide a boost for the county's economy.

And the weather forecast could hardly be better with sunshine and high temperatures predicted.

It's a chance for farmers to speak to each other and share best practice.

But also there's plenty of fun things to do and see, many of them related to agriculture and the countryside.

We spoke to volunteers who were setting up yesterday.

They told us: "We've been waiting for this for three years - it's awesome."

"The ground looks in really good order so hopefully lots of people come and enjoy it."

Attractions:

There's going to be Flypasts, action horses, and this year also has a platinum jubilee theme for the Queen.

There'll be a special stage at the show with performances which will include the Lincoln Orpheus Male Voice Choir and the Market Rasen Ukulele Band.

Plus there's a pop-up stage showcasing a variety of solo and duet artists.

As ever there's plenty of food to taste with cookery demonstrations.

There'll be a number of flypasts from classic aircraft including the Hurricane and the Spitfire.

The ever popular main ring hosts a whole range of attractions from show jumping to a parachute display to the RAF Falcons.

And this year BMX displays and a "Parade of Hounds."

Plus there'll be all the attractions usually associated with the show.

That includes displays of farm machinery and oh course livestock from pigs to cattle and sheep.

Add to that some traditional countryside pursuits like fishing and it's hoped the event will once again be a huge success once again.
