Lincolnshire Police fear there could be a big rise in domestic abuse following tonights England game against the Czech republic at Euro 2020.

Previous experience suggests there tends to be an increase following games.

The force says it's doing everything it can to try and prevent it happening.

A defeat for the England team makes it more likely there'll be issues.

The reaction can range from relatively minor problems to outright violence.

However the force says none of them should be happening.

They have officers on stand by to deal with any issues.

They're also stressing anyone experiencing abuse towards them need not worry about Covid restrictions - they just need to report it.
