Lincolnshire's new £21m emergency services hub has been given the Royal seal of approval following a visit from Princess Anne.

She officially opened the base, which is now home to the county's police, fire and ambulance services.

Chief fire officer Mark Baxter says the new facility has helped them to address coronavirus issues.

"It means we can work together before responding to any events that are related to Covid.

"We get to know how each other works, we get to know what the risks are, so we can support each other far more effectively"

Sergeant Tom Richardson introduced the Princess to police dog Frankie.

"She was very interested in what Frankie does and how busy we are and where we're based.

"From a personal point of view it's something that many people won't get to do in their career, meet royalty, so it was good."
