Lincolnshire businesses have been hearing artificial intelligence is a major opportunity for local firms to boost their productivity and profits.

A conference today in the county has seen a number of speakers covering the topic of innovation including robotics and the latest tech as well as AI.

It's also a chance for companies to share best practice.

Burt Sinclair is a technology expert who spoke at the conference - he says AI is a real opportunity:

"So there are those fears around generative AI - it's nothing to be scared about. This is a technology that's going to help us be more human.

"It's going to help augment our roles. I want to see people embrace it.

"My passion is for every business on the planet to use AI. Use it for the good."

The latest tech and digital platforms were other topics discussed at the event

Neal Juster is chair of hosts the Greater Lincolnshire Enterprise Partnership and says innovation is key for local firms:

"Things like AI, new ways of doing things - if companies are going to survive in a competitive market they do need to either do new things. Or to do what they are doing differently.

"Today gives them the opportunity to see how other companies are doing it. There is a lot of showing a lot of collaboration.

"So the fact we have this theme of innovation - it just gives people the chance to think differently about what they are doing and how they can run their companies.
