Lincoln murder investigation: Police name the man who died
Officers are trying to trace the driver of a red car who they believe may have vital information
Police have named the person who died on Monday as 66-year-old Philip Woods.
His family have described him as a beloved Dad and Grandad, and have shared a picture of Philip with his dog Poppy, who is now being cared for by them.
His family are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Earlier today Lincolnshire Police appealed for anyone who was driving a red vehicle on Monday evening (5th June) after 7pm until 12.30am in the Gaunt Street area to get in touch with them.
They believe the driver of a red car may have vital information which could help with the murder investigation, but they don't have the make and model.
It's after a 66-year-old man died from a suspected head injury after he was found on Gaunt Street on Monday evening.
A 32-year-old man's been arrested on suspicion of murder.
