A Lincoln man who received an experimental covid drug says the new treatment saved his life.

Des Davis was one of the first to receive the Sotrovimab treatment.

He's high risk, and clinically vulnerable - when he caught coronavirus earlier this month, he said it was like being hit by a speeding truck.

However the new treatment has helped him in his recovery.

He's still on the road to getting better but told us he felt so much better.

He says "they give you that drug to prevent any further damage and means you don't need hospital treatment".

"I thought it's brilliant that I've been given this".

"The following morning I woke up and felt less as if I was fighting off covid and more that I was recovering from the effects of it."
